Mallory Room - Reaseheath College

Reaseheath college were converting part of their Adventure Sports building to be a state of the art immersive interactive learning centre. Compass Complete Solutions were asked to design the fire alarm modifications to this area and make it L1 ready with a view to updating the remaining parts of the site at a later date. The on-site staff liaised with our engineers to determine the extent of work involved and discuss the design.
Problems faced
Following discussions it was evident that the existing CIE and conventional system was outdated. It was decided that the CIE would be upgraded to an Advanced addressable system utilising zone monitors for the remaining area of the site with the new Mallory Room being a loop powered addressable system. The on-site Reaseheath electricians supplied cabling, containment and wired the system with Compass Complete Solutions terminating, programming and commissioning the new units.
End result
On completion the college were provided with an addressable CIE ready for network connection to the rest of the site. The new Mallory Room has addressable smoke detection, manual call points and sounders wired to category L1 also ready for modification for the remainder of the site. The system was tested with all certification provided, with manual handover all completed over a 3 day period.
